An introduction to the Orlando Magic’s new home, using a little magic of our own. In 2008, Masuga Design was enlisted by Chicago design agency 50,000feet to implement their site design for the Orlando Events Center (since renamed Amway Center), home of the NBA’s Orlando Magic.
Masuga Design executed the CSS/HTML front-end development and ExpressionEngine (EE) CMS implementation. Through some clever use of jQuery and EE plugins, we were able to put together some really nice photo galleries. The homepage gallery can show photos or videos, and fades between a grayscale and color version of the thumbnail. The thumbnails are automatically generated in the correct sizes for the content creator sitewide, helping to eliminate broken template layouts.
