Butch’s Beach Burritos
Butch’s Beach Burritos (the Grand Haven Michigan landmark located right by the beach at Lake Michigan) had numerous requests to sell their salsa online, so they enlisted my help to add e-commerce to their existing site.
The first order of business was to clean up the existing site’s pages, because the pages were bloated with tables, spacer images, and loads of unnecessary markup. I was able to reduce the size of each page significantly, which will allow for faster load times and make it easier to update the pages later – particularly if they ever desire a redesign.
I was able to add secure store functionality to their site that includes user management and getting accurate shipping estimates by tying into the FedEx database/API. Butch’s can now securely accept credit card purchases online, and they may add PayPal functionality in the future.
