We like to check our work to make sure your work can be seen by as many people as possible in the way it was meant to be seen. This means writing lean, accessible, standards-compliant HTML and CSS. Do you have to know what that means? No. But we have to, and our job is to use it under the hood of your site to keep it humming along like the well-oiled machine it is.
Content Management with ExpressionEngine
We eat our own dogfood, meaning Masuga Design runs on ExpressionEngine, and we think EE is pretty good tasting dogfood. Or something like that. If you need to manage your content, you came to the right place. If you're already set on using ExpressionEngine, then you score brownie points with us.
Imagine logging into an administrative control panel at your leisure to make a small text change yourself - rather than contacting us to make the change for you. And forget the small changes - what about being able to handle the maintenance of whole sections of your own content - including images, PDF and Word files, press releases, FAQ's, job postings, maps...basically anything you need to manage. Unobtrusive, Gracefully-Degrading Javascript With jQuery
What a mouthful. All this means is that we can make your site do some of those cool things you've seen other sites do, enhancing your users' experience. Nerd Alert: If you're not interested in geeky details, just trust us that jQuery is cool and move on to the next point. We use the jQuery Javascript library to help us rapidly add the extra functionality to your site and we do it unobtrusively, meaning that if someone doesn't have Javascript on or available, your site should still work, no harm, no foul.
We're not limited to the jQuery library - we can and will use Prototype/scrip.aculo.us, mootools, or Yahoo! User Interface widgets when we have to, but for getting it done quickly and having fun with it, we like jQuery.
Attention to Detail. Obsessive-Compulsive Web Design.
We've been known to be up at 1 a.m. on a Friday night trying to solve things that probably only matter to us, and rationalizing it by saying "I know what I'm figuring out will come in handy at some point..." Will that "some point" be your project?
Pixel-level attention to detail is what we are about. Ease of use for you and your visitors is what we're about.
And we're not above taking the extra time to create a geeky in-joke using Clarus the Dogcow, a magnifying glass, and the word "Moof!" in the graphic accompanying this "attention to detail" section*.

We will do some things for you that other places don't even know how to do, let alone know how to provide you with, such as screencasts. Now that you have all this ExpressionEngine content management power, are you afraid to go in and touch your content because you forget what goes where and what does what? Login to your Control Panel and view a screencast on how to add that job posting, or additional product, or new press release with related PDF file - or whatever update is unique to your site.
